After complications with the yellow doublet fit, and the gift of some pattern pieces that I know fit me (thanks Vika!) I've started on a black wool doublet. This process is going much faster, and I'm excited about it. I've also started some black silk tablet woven trim to go with it. 

I'm using Mathew Gnagy's Modern Maker Volume 2 (First Edition) to create a late period yellow doublet. It's a work in progress, by which I mean it's a fun nightmare.
